Starting way back at age 11 on the Commodore VIC-20 (going back 25+ years), I've been using and working with computers ever since.
Excellent at network administration/management, customer/technical support, PHP and MySQL, diagnosing and solving operating system issues, building/repairing computers. . .
The list goes on and on...
I'm married to a beautiful, wonderful woman, and have twin boys who are currently about 4 1/2 years old. They us very busy, to say the least.
In my spare time, which there isn't much of, I like working on PHP/web projects, experimenting with different flavors of Unix and Linux operating systems, and enjoy a few MMOs, Age of Conan being my first choice.
I'm employed at the University of Rochester, as a Distributed Systems Administrator. Which basically means I have my hands in everything. Solaris, Unix, Linux, Windows, Mac, Active Directory, Sendmail, Postfix, Exchange... You name it, I probably touch it, or have touched it, or will eventually touch it in some way, shape, or form. I love it. It keeps me _very_ busy, to the point of overload sometimes, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It keeps me on my toes, and I'm always learning something new.
The team I work with handles servers, workstations, mailboxes, applications, etc. for all faculty, staff, and students at the University, and it's just an awesome experience.
In the warmer months I enjoy playing outdoors with my boys, working on my trucks, tinkering around in the garage, and just plain being out in the fresh air. In the colder months I like to hide indoors with the wife and boys. We watch a lot of TiVo in the winter time, LOL.
That's about it. Not much more to tell. I've been a computer geek for 25+ years now, and I'm glad I spent so much time in one field. It has truly allowed me to excel in a field that is very competitive and challenging.
